    1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
= I feel honored, grateful, tired.
    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
= Wear shorts, t shirts, bring around mini fan, bring a ziploc bag for cheese balls from Mr. Healey, and your brain, do not run if you do and get caught by Mr. Patrick he’ll give you a LD or make you stand still for 30 seconds.

With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
= We will organize our work and schedule ourselves. We will also revise our work and review what we’ve learned.

  2. Only one quiz and the final exam remain. You're almost there!

    1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    a) apprehensive = Although I am doing well on math, I am still really concerned about the FINAL exam in which we will be taking in few days. Also we have a quiz and the phase 4 which will be like the last thing that will support and let us be able to sustain our grades in powerschool.

    b) satisfied = To tell the truth, I am satisfied with the math grade I have right now although I am a bit concerned about the FINAL exam which might drop my grade down. Also, there are almost no problems that I have in math right now except for some small sections.

    c) tired = I am right now very exhausted and will be more exhausted in few days. There were too many tests, quizzes and exams going on simultaneously almost every week. Now, it is the end of the year which is somewhat exciting and tiring since I have been working so hard to sustain my grades all year.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Some advice (or a warning) to next year’s algebra students is that I would like to tell them to always focus and concentrate in class before everything gets mixed up. If you don’t concentrate when the lesson is going on, you might not be able to finish your class work on time since you will be struggling through and most importantly, there are a quiz and a test each week and you might not be able to do well on them. Also, another advice is to finish all the homework and assignments on time like what I did. This will help you to sustain your grades, you always need backup.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
In my humble opinion, I don’t think I should change my attitude, concentration or study methods in math class because I have always been coming into the class with good attitude, concentrated during lessons and also regularly studied math at home. However, two things in which I will do differently from what I have done all year to help you stay focused was try not to talk with some of my friends during class, which might have helped me to finish some class work assignment more quickly and also ask questions to the teacher during advisory before the class begins whenever I don’t know a concept for the preparation of the next period’s assignments.

  3. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    Unstable, shocked, and nervous

    A. My emotions are unstable due to the stress I am giving it to myself. Because of this, sometimes, I feel sad but sometimes I am really angry at my grade. However, since finals approaching, my emotions and thoughts are all over the place.

    B. I am quite shocked that the year is ending and the time flew so fast.

    C. I am really nervous the fact that our final is next Friday and it consist of everything we learned. Even though I study, I can't quite concentrate well because of the feeling that I would not get a good grade on my finals.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Some advice I would give to the next year's Algebra students is to think outside the box and never be happy about the result you got. I said these two because first of all, for problem solving, if you were to think a bit more creative, it would be easy to solve. For the other advice, I give this out because your grade can change at anytime and since the finals are coming, it can either drop or rise your grade depending on your situations.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?

Two things I did in order to stay focus was to disconnect the bonds of people and being out of the society. With disconnecting bonds, I was able to stay on task since no one bothered me and this also applies to being out of the society. Since I am out of the society, there was no one who really bothered me on whatever I was doing so, I was able to stay on task.

  5. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
Exciting=Summer Vacation coming!!! And I'm a high schooler next year!

Sad=Time passed so fast, wearing skirts again. One year have passed again and sadly I don't even feel like that except I know I'm tired and will have a exam coming up soon.

    Tired=I'm sure everyone is tired...

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Don't throw away your tests, worksheet and knowledges right away after the chapter test... You need them for final... Also, don't be satisfied about what you've got, there is always space for you to improve and gain more knowledge.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
Firstly, I know I seriously need to sleep earlier... I'm tired, So tired now... Sleeping is probably the most important thing to do in order to stay focused.
Since we have a Final for all the stuff we learn this semester, it's a mess in my mind right now. Not only Math, also physics, chemistry, biology, vocabulary, history issue, novels, lines for drama performance... I want to be really organized for the last week of the year... I think this is the way to calm myself and stay focused since I'm task forced when I'm well organized.

  6. 1) Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.

Embarrassed: Due to the final exam, I’m really embarrassed. I’m just worried about the grades that will come out soon.
Excited: Since the summer break is coming soon, I’m excited to play with my friends.
Thankful: I’m really thankful who taught me past 12 months.

    2) If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?

Unless the other next year’s Algebra students don’t do their homework on time, they will be perfectly okay with quizzes nor tests. However, just in case, for the tests and quizzes, they have to at least review some questions we did before.

    3) With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.
Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?

First of all, I won’t go online and socialize with other friends with my computer. Second of all, I will review all the notes, homework, quizzes, and test we took through second semester. Lastly, I won’t be too stressed out!

  7. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    A. Thrilled: I get excited everyday when I notice that we only have 1-2 weeks of school left, and I’m also looking forward to having the best summer vacation before I turn into high school!
    B. Grateful: It was a great pleasure to be in your Algebra class this year, and I really enjoyed learning math in unique ways. I also think that I improved a lot, and learned a lot more about math this year!
    C. Upsetting: It was upsetting to hear that you’re leaving because I wanted to see you in school although I’m in high school next year.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
There won’t be any hardships for the next year’s Algebra students unless they forget their homework, assignments, projects, etc. Also, your previous homework, quizzes, and tests are a great way to study and prepare for big exams, so I hope their organized to keep all of their works!

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
For the upcoming week, which is actually our last week of the year, I will try not to socialize a lot through my phone and online, and I am planning to study and review ahead, so I’m not too stressed the day before my exam.

  9. Only one quiz and the final exam remain. You're almost there!

    1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.

A.) Excited! - I feel so happy that school is over in less than two weeks! Even though finals are coming up, I don't feel any nervousness for some reason. I just feel so thrilled to enjoy the rest of the summer at my last stay at Korea!

B.) Sad... - This is my last year in KIS, which is quite depressing for me. I've lived in Korea for my whole life and I just can't bear to leave my home. :(

C.) Grateful - I am thankful to all the people that has been with me and making my best moments in Korea. I am also am grateful for the opportunities that I had, such as having to meet such great teachers at KIS!

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?

Dear next year's Algebra students, always make sure to finish your homework, and not rush it in the final second. Always be prepared for the class, and make sure you know what you are doing. If you need help, you should always ask the teacher for help, or you will be pushed back.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?

To help me stay focused, I will lessen my time in chatting. I personally think that I am a chat addict, and I am still not able to fix this bad habit. Hopefully I can decrease my time spent in chatting. Also, I will make better time schedule for my study time. ( For example, 3PM~5PM: Study for Algebra! ) I will make sure to know all the materials soon to be covered by the final exam.

  10. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    a) happy: I am happy that the year is almost over and summer break is coming soon.
    b) worried: I am worried about all the final exams that are coming up.
    c) tired: I have had very little sleep this week because there were so many projects, homework, and exams to study for.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
My advice would be to hand in all the homework and study for tests. If you don't understand the concept, you should go ask your teacher right away, instead of putting it off to the day before the test.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
Firstly, I will not open my macbook while I'm studying unless I absolutely need it. Also, I will not go on to social networks if I am not done with my homework or studying. I feel like that takes the most time off of my studying. To do this, I will turn off my phone to get rid of any further distraction.

  11. Only one quiz and the final exam remain. You're almost there!

    1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    nervous, exciting, anticipating
nervous, because it is finals, and I am not sure if I will do good on the final test
exciting, because summer break is coming soon
anticipating, because I am hoping for a good grade that can boost up my grade average

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Some advices or warning I can give to next year’s Algebra students is to solve many math questions, depending on how hard the type of question is. For instance, if you feel inequalities are difficult, you should solve many problems so that you would get used to it, and by the end the of the unit, you will be an expert on it! Also, I strongly recommend that, if you don’t quite get some parts in math, go ask the teacher. Don’t just stay not understanding how to solve a problem, because if you don’t master that now, I guarantee that you will have problems later on, when the same types of problems come along. In addition, I really recommend reviewing your tests, and really look over the ones you got incorrect. If it was a mistake, you should remember those types of questions so that you won’t make a mistake ever again for those questions. If you got a question or questions wrong, because you didn’t how to solve it, I really recommend you to go ask the teacher first for explanation on how to solve a question, and then review those so you will now know how to solve those problems. Again, I really don’t recommend you to neglect those incorrect answers you have written for a questions, because I guarantee a similar questions will come out on finals too. I honestly believe many people would agree that word problems are always the hardest part of math. You should especially pay attention to word problems, since they can be really tricky sometimes. Lastly, always, always, always read the directions carefully, and show work neatly.

With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
This week, I’m trying to ask my mom to stay beside me, so that I can’t digress into doing something else such as Facebook, or Ichat. I thought of actually deactivating my Facebook account, however I believe if I do, I wouldn’t be able to communicate with my friends about some of my group projects. Also, I believe I can control myself by not going on Facebook, since my mom is next to me. Another thing I have been doing, was drinking a lot of water. I heard that drinking water actually refreshes your mind, and helps you with intellectual dexterity. I am not sure if this is actually really true however, at least prevents me from being dehydrated.

  12. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.

    Tired, bored, excited.
Studying for finals are hard and very tiring.
I am bored because studying for finals is taking up all of my time so I can't really do anything else besides studying.
I am excited because its almost the end of the year.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?

I would say that the students should learn to show their work because a lot of students this year lost points for not showing work. Also, students like me who has bad hand writing might want to try and improve their handwriting because you can get points off if the teacher can't read your work.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?

I will suspend all my accounts on purpose so I can't play any games and I will try to sleep earlier so I can stay awake after I come back from school.

  13. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    finished, worn out, experienced.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Never fall back on homework because math is a aggressive process you can't ever really fall back on schedule because the lessons are always moving forward. If you ever do happen to fall back then it's really hard to make it back to the top.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
    1. study in an organized manner.
    2. close the curtains while studying so I don't get too tempted to go outside.

  14. 1) I am nervous, tired, and excited. I'm nervous because of the final coming up, and I'm tired because there are a lot of things to do to prepare for the final. I'm excited because the year is almost over.

    2) I would tell next year's Algebra students to complete every single homework assignment you receive because they will help you practice for future quizzes and tests. Also, maintaining a perfect homework grade will help you in the long run. Correct homework assignments will help you to study for the final that will inevitably come.

    3) I think that I will try not to leave Facebook open on my computer when I'm studying at home, as I see that it sometimes distracts me, and I find that I can finish my homework sooner when I don't do Facebook. Also, I will try to get more sleep so that I can focus better on my work and studying.

    Fatigued, proud, and worried

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
My advice to next year’s Algebra students is to always review your work for any stupid mistakes. Homework is very important, because if you find any mistakes, you can learn from them. Remember not to make the same mistakes. Never give up.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
I would schedule myself for this week and get them done without procrastinating. I will also try to sleep earlier in order to keep my condition well. In this way, I wouldn't be too tired for the finals.

  16. Only one quiz and the final exam remain. You're almost there!

    1. Worried, Nervous, Exited. Worried because about the test and that I will not do well on it. Nervous because is a big test and exited because after this test I don't need to worry about math for a short time (vacation).

    2. Some warning to the test algebra student is to study everyday and review as much as you can because you might forget stuff after you learn it. Another advice that I will give it to them is to not for get the sign and the unit when writing answers. Remember to check every step you do. If you miss or get one step wrong you will get the whole thing wrong. Remember to show all your work or he will take off points.

    3. I will sleep early in the night so I could wake up in the morning fast and make my brain run faster when i get to school. Also I will eat every meal to keep myself healthy for the finals and not be hungry in the test.

  17. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
    nervous, proud, excited
I'm feeling quite nervous to be moving on with middle school, and be in high school next year, but I'm proud I was able to survive eighth grade, and in how I'm becoming something I thought I never thought I would become. I am also excited for the summer that's ahead of us!

    2. If you were to give some advice (or warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Algebra students next year should make sure they really understand the lesson each class period, and if they don't, or are just quite not sure, they should definitely go ask Mr. Jobe. If you leave questions unsolved, it might affect you in the future! (such as in tests or even exams!)

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
One thing would do is quit playing any sort of games on my macbook until finals are over. On regular days, I often play some sort of games for about a hour, but by reducing this time, I would be able to focus and get more work done. Another thing I would do is use my time wisely during advisory and other times given, when I can study for exams.

  18. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
1.Nervous: I am very nervous about going to high school next year.
2.Happy: Finally the summer vacation is coming
3.Satisfied: I am very satisfied with improvements that I had progressed during 8th grade.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
Becoming a 8th grader, you will start to have less leading from your parents, and have more independence, so you really have to learn how to manage your time well at 8th grade. Also, 8th grade ends very quickly, much faster than we expect, so make sure that you study a lot before 8th grade ends so that you are prepared for high school.

With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week.  Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
Two things that I will do differently from what I’ve done all year to help me stay focused is to make everything into hard copy and use computer as minimum as possible because for me, all the distractions occur in computer. Second, I’ll ask my parents to keep my phone until the finals end so that I can only concentrate on finals.

  19. 1. Write three adjectives to describe how you're feeling.
Right now, I feel sleepy, anxious, and sad. I haven't had good sleep in a while, but I can't wait for summer! I feel sad though about the fact that I won't be able to see some of my friends anymore.

    2. If you were to give some advice (or a warning) to next year's Algebra students, what would it be?
My advice to next year's Algebra student would be that in Algebra especially, you must ask the teacher if they don't fully understand a concept. That was how I got my first F on a test because I believed that I could somehow just skip around and at least get a B. Also, missing a lesson means that you must visit the teacher and ask what the lesson plan was because there are crucial points in every lesson.

    3. With the end in sight, and the weather becoming more beautiful than ever, it may be a little difficult to focus during this last week. Name two things you will do DIFFERENTLY from what you've done all year to help you stay focused?
The two things I will do differently from all year is first, plan out and see all the different test dates on the calendar and get prepared according to schedule, instead of doing something that I won't be tested on a week later. Also, I will not waste my advisory time and use it more wisely instead of just socializing.
